Evelyn's journey into beadwork was originally inspired by a trip to visit family in South Africa and she has now been beading for 25 years. She is a contemporary beadwork artist, using both loom and off-loom techniques to create large flat and three-dimensional wall hangings, and jewellery. She has taught and run workshops and seminars in groups across the country, and also a study trip to South Africa in 2000 to work with Ndebele bead workers. Recently she was a guide and teacher on a ‘Beadventure’ trip to South Africa. A founding member of the British Bead Society, and an organiser of the annual Bead Society fair for 18 years.

 

Exhibitions include London, Brighton, Arundel, Sussex festivals, Bury St Edmunds, Cheltenham. Work in various publications including the following:
